Risk < Reward: Pop gained a huge advantage this week as the only competitor to correctly pick a loss, earning him double-digit leads on both leaderboards. Was it strategy? Was it luck? Was it given really no thought at all? Regardless, it worked.

• Try, try again: Over the last three seasons, including this one, Pop has actually picked differently than every other competitor six times. This week was only the second time it paid off; the first time was last year in Week 17 when he had already been eliminated 10 weeks earlier because, you guessed it, his other rogue picks failed him quickly.

Twinning!: Sarah and Hanan aren’t intimidated by Pop's undefeated start. The twins sit in second and third place on the weighted leaderboard, with Sarah ahead of Hanan by just 2.4%. True to form, she won’t miss a chance to remind him of this lead—just like she never lets him forget who was born first.

Heroes and zeroes: Each season, there's always one week that separates the leaders and losers for the rest of the season. Last year, it was Week 6 when Hanan, Jemer, and Nathan were the only ones to predict an Eagles loss to the Jets, transforming the FEP into a three competitor race. After just two weeks, we seem to be loosely defining our cohorts:

• Tier 1: Pop (38% weighted)

• Tier 2: Sarah, Hanan, Jay, and Emer (21-27% weighted)

• Tier 3: Buhduh, Jen, Jacob, Andy, Amir, Marsha, and Nathan (4-11% weighted)

Luckily, each competitor has 15 more chances to define their 2024 seasons. Next week proves to be an interesting one with Hanan (Tier 2), Sarah (Tier 2), Jen (Tier 3), and Andy (Tier 3) predicting an Eagles loss to the red-hot Saints.
